  1. This is slightly normal behavior for a one year old.  I recommend reading "The Happiest Toddler on the Block" by Harvey Karp.  You'll better understand your child and how you can cut short this behavior.  Sometimes ignoring works, sometimes it doesn't, but this is a crucial time in his development and the book will help you through this rough period.

  2. Super Nanny?

    Counseling!!

And give him attention...so spend more time with him, kids often do this when they want/NEED attention!

  3. Unfortunately some kids go through a phase like that.  My son was hitting me all the time.  When he goes to hit you, grab his arm and stop him, and get real close up to his face and say "NO HITTING" in a low tone of voice.  Hopefully it will startle him enough so that he learns you mean business.  Don't spank when he acts like that because you can't really teach no hitting by hitting.  If he keeps it up, put him in a play pen or something like that for a time out and let him cry.  After the crying stops, wait one minute and take him out.  It should be one minute for each year old they are.  When you take him out, again tell him no hitting.  After a few times he should get the hang of it.  Good luck!
