I have an orthodentic appointment at 11.40am next week

then i have another one in the same day at 15.40pm

i think thats when i get my brace off :D

But why do i have to go in twice?

And also..what happens when you get your brace off?

  1. they have to fit you for your retainer but they'll probably give you invisalign for two weeks but you'll get your retainer once its like built i guess. the invisalign still has to be fit to your teeth too


  2. I think the first appointment they take off your braces, and make a mold from your teeth to make a retainer

    the second appointment is for your retainer fitting.

    I had braces for 2 years along with a high rack (thing to widen jaw). When I got my braces off I had one appointment one day, and the other the next.

    When you get your braces off they will remove the braces and cement/glue and clean the teeth to where no cement/glue remains.

    than they will tell you when to wear your retainer, whether it is all day or just at night.

    you will be glad when the braces come off

  3. I don't know why you have to go twice! But when you get your braces off you have to wear a retainer! It kinda hurts though a little. I had wore braces for two years. It wasn't bad as people make it seem. Good luck!!!
