I have been having mild pain in my right hip flexor for a while. The first time I noticed it was on the first day of gymnastics in November 2007. For a while it only hurt when l did splits or leaps or stretched it. Gymnastics ended in March and I had a three month break. When I went back to gym it was still hurting. It's getting worse now that I have started running. Stretching doesn't help, neither does rest. I have also iced it and tried heat. It doesn't really cause many ptoblems unless it is stretched ( eg. Long strides, leaps, stairs, splits, etc.) It is just more sensitive now. I will probably see a doctor but I just wanted to know what to expect.
