10 points for Four Pillars?!!?

Question

I just found out that there are a Chinese Month sign , Day sign and Ascendant sign!! all i Knew _ untill half an hour ago_ is that each Chinese year is ruled by an Animal and that's it!! , so please can you clarify the importance of the other 3 signs to me......it doesn't have to be a long answer , just clear . and i will choose the best answer when i find the best answer and i won't wait .thnx in advance.

Actually they are very important , their job is to specify (Like the ascendant in the western zodiac) , Imagine a big Circle which have a smaller circle inside it and so on , this is the case with the four pillars , they play a major role in identifying your character , For example my Chinese sign is Dog and my Ascendant is Ox , so i will be so different from Another one born in the Chinese year of the Dog but with Tiger Ascendant for Example , but also don't forget the Elements too ( Water , Fire , Metal , Wood and Earth ) because they also have a role in shaping your personality , Good Luck.
