Well people said I could'nt change the name I used to register my email address. I put some random name and then I tried editing my info and I think I changed it. Well heres the question, you know how when you enter www.yahoo.com, you see your little "mail icon". And next to it is "messenger" and so on.

~Is the name on top of the mail and messenger icon the name people will see you as if they send you something? Did I successfully change my name?

I see your name in Yahoo Answers as "Glitched". I think you will see mine as "Manoj K"

I used to have a different name earlier, and i followed the same process.So, i guess you have changed your name. Congrats!!

Yes you have changed your name. With Yahoo in My Yahoo you can edit your details including your name. With that you can also choose what shows up when you log in either your first name or your nickname. The rules state that the name on the email has to be right according to the law you know so they can track you for doing illegal stuff. But usually you can put whatever name you want on your email account. So if you made a mistake or got married and changed your name you can do that in the My Yahoo and edit info button. Its very simple.
