148cm showjumping classes...?

Question

Would I be right in saying the 148cm means the horse height, not the jumps? If so, how high would the jumps be? And to enter, would you have to be riding a 14.2hh horse or could you enter with a 15.2hh?

Welll it could mean the horses height? or it could mean the jump height depending where your reading it from. But idk what that would be for height. try google measureing converter.

148cm means the height of the jumps. (1 metre 48 centimetres or 4'10") Horses are not measured in cm they are measured in hands (1 hand = 4 inches). The jumps would be 4'10" high and you can ride what height horse you want.

right 148cm usually would mean the horses height. It depends what the show is BSJA i think you would have to be riding a 14.2hh pony but the show might day 14.2 and over/ under to enter this class,.

the jumps would probably be 2foot,9 - 3foot,3 . . . . but it vary s from show to show

also 148cm could mean jump size but that is highly unlikely.

youmight be able to enter with a 15,2hh. but read the rules and class brief

It means that the pony must be 148cm or under to enter. The jumps could be any height, depending on the competition.

ADD: To Shannon H - actually in BSJA and BSPS the ponies are measured in CM.

I would be extremely surprised if the 148cm refers to the jump height as this is not how they are usually displayed. Where is the show?

148 cm is a 14.2 horse, or a 4'9 jump. So could be either.
