14th birthday!!!???!!!?

Question

i will be turning 14 in a little while and was wondering what to do for it i live in a small town and we dont have a lot of money to spend for it.any ideas for what i could do?

have a block party at the courthouse or a park or something invite everyone you know and have good music some food and your ready to go.

also you could do a home spa thing for really cheap with a couple close friends.

Make a specific theme and go with it as far as your budget will allow you. If your wanting to cut corners do it on entertainment. Food I think is the thing you will want to spend the majority of your money on. There are lots of things you can make to give your party a look for less. I seen these from Martha Stewart and I think they are absolutely precious for making a girly impression, or for a garden party even. I personally have made them , and they were very easy. I just took packs of colored tissue paper ( I used pink and green from Hallmark and it was like 98 cents a pack at Walmart) and you stack it, and then fold it like a paper fan, and then trim the ends. Once you've done that you just pull it open like, and pull it even to look like a pomander ball. http://www.flickr.com/photos/oncewed/233... This is a picture of a small version which you could make to put on plates, or around napkins. You can make bigger versions like this to be hung from the ceiling to really give you the overall look. http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w96/m...  That's just one idea that off the top of my head is very inexpensive and ' alot of bang- for your buck' so they say. Play with it have fun. I think the key to any party is making is different. You want it to be out of the ordinary. The days of balloons and streamers are way over, just use your imagination, and do your research if your really wanting to make this an over-the-top party.
