  1. You got it. You can try the old trick of thumping the carb with a dowel and a mallet.  Try to smack it so that you give it a jolt, focusing more on a rapid crack than a heavy impact. I guess it'd be like breaking in a game of pool.  If you hit it too hard you could separate your carb rack from your cylinder head. (You'd have to knock the c**p out of it, but some people have no mechanical empathy so I have to at least put that warning out there.)

You can narrow down which carb is spewing by pulling the hoses off of the drain tabs at the carbs themselves, then just whack the one that's leaking. Obviously, if that doesn't work, just yank the carbs and pull the bowl off of the bad carb and clean the valve seat. Inspect the valve itself for gunk and look carefully at the tip of the valve. Some are rubber-tipped, some are solid brass, but they are all cone-shaped, and  what you look for on the tip is a worn ring where the valve was jammed into the fuel entry hole. If the ring is pronounced enough, it won't shut the fuel off when the float rises. Also, while you have it off, check the float height. An 87 600F needs 8mm when the carbs are tilted 45 degrees so that the tang just barely seats on the valve pin. You can make a float height gauge out of posterboard as long as you don't get it wet.

  2. it is possible what i would try is going to the dealers parts and accesories and ask for the specs on that carb and take it appart and mesure what you exactlly need the guy at the parts department can give you the specs if he prints them out if he says he cant hes full of it and try to slip that a***e five or ten bucks he should be happy ive done it with my 69 nova for my carb gluck
