1988 MUSTANG SHIFTER LINKAGE ADJUSTMENT

Does anyone know if there is a trick to adjusting the shifter linkage on a 1988 Mustang with and OD automatic. I have R,N,OD,D,and 1 but as hard as I try I cannot seem to find Park. Any thoughts?
