Yesterday I was driving down the highway when i smelled something burning. Next i seen smoke coming from under my hood, my car was overheating. I opened my hood & noticed a leak from my coolant tube, fixed it. Drove not even a mile till it started overheating again. The leak stooped but my car was still running hot, i put water in it, So i could get home. But it still was overheating. I let it rest for a hour then the car wouldn't even crank, so i got it towed home. Two days later i checked the spark plugs & they were purplish + Kina burnt. Switch them with some left over ones from my 3000GT I think they were not the same because the old ones were a little bigger. Anyway The spark plug wire were stuck to the plugs i guess because of the burning. I got one off, the other two broke. I put two other wires of a accord just to see would they work. The car started rough but cut off as soon as i let off the gas. Does this mean i just need the right plugs & wires. Also its not a broken gasket because theirs no water in the oil.

  1. what may have happened to it when it got hot like that it may have blown a head gasket on it,with the plugs being the color you described it sounds like you may have got it a little too hot,you might need to run a pressure check on the cooling system to see if it has any leaks,it will also help you determine if it has a major leak which could indicate a bad head gasket,it would pay to check this one out real good before starting it back, having two bad wires will make it run like c**p,but it may also now have other problems,if you check it at least you,ll know,id also run a compression check on the engine just to be sure about it,good luck.

  2. well any time yo uhave a leak and your car over heats you got to refill it before driving it any more is what happen you didnt refill  you shoul dtwist plug wire some and pul at same time always they will stick and if you just pull they will break... change your plugs good bet you fried themif you didnt have water you should not have drove it any after running hot.. should have called tow truck sooner and best to keep a bottle of water in back for just that reason....... thermostat best change and check fan and hoses
