1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse Trans 'n Clutch

Question

im looking at a 95 mitsubishi eclipse from a friend, he wants 4k for it an ill have to replace the transmission which is a 5 spd manual, an its issue start with the clutch. the clutch busted on him while driving down my local highway, and when it broke it took the tranny with it, so my question is do you know af a site that has new an used parts for my eclipse? be aware ive tried ebay and craiglist... im looking for a parts site... thanks your input any at all may help me greatly

What a great friend. You must be really desperate to buy a car with a blown tranny for $4K. You friend has to have some nice **** or something. If you pay more then $800 for the car your getting ripped off. But to answer your question the best place to get a tranny would be a local junk yard. Some even have warranty's for a year. But the clutch would have to be new. I hope you know your throwing your money away if you pay $4K. Wow I couldn't get my friend to buy my 01' GT Eclipse for that much and it runs perfect.

I dont know any USED part websites. But that price is way outrageous! That price is way over the Blue Book value! And if the tranny is out! NO DICE! A tranny can cost 1500-2500 to buy and install! Plus a clutch!! Heres a good Eclipse Part Website.
