1998 2.0 JETTA just dies

Daughter's car, 130K, car just starts real hard, will build up RPM's then die, very hard start after. 34 psi fuel pressure, new filter, plenty gas, just dies

Bad motor / engine?

I'm not a car braniac, but I'd say it has something to do with the engine, bring it down to Jiffy Lube or a car shack and find out just exactly is wrong with it before you spend too much money.
