I just got a new water-heater and transmission put in the truck, but it's still overheating. It starts to overheat soon after I start driving it. I checked the fluids. I know I have to take it back to the shop, but it would help if I knew something. I don't want the mechanic taking advantage of the fact that I'm a girl.

  1. what the h**l is a water heater? did he tell you that?..tranny wont make it over heat, it could be lots of things, bad water pump, radiator, head, belts... try a different shop

  2. ask the mechanic to check the "thermostat" this sounds like exactly what is wrong... good luck! dont let them s***w you over they will!

  3. There is no such thing as a water heater in a car, the transmission can't cause it too overheat,I don't know your mech. but he never should have let you take the car overheating in the first place.Not all mech. take advantage of a girl " at least i don't "good luck {GET A NEW MECH}
