  1. Best way to get an accurate quote on price is to call auto part places.

Do not neglect to call the manufacturer's parts department they are not always the most expensive, occasionally they are less expensive.

Can not imagine this part being too expensive, But if it is more then a modest amount check the auto wreckers.

How difficult or how easy is it to install new switch? This should be fairly easy. Best way is to consult a repair manual or two at locale Library. If you can not check book out, photocopy page to keep instructions handy while preforming replacement. Part may come with instructions as well.

    Good luck, hope this helps.

  2. You can get it at any parts store, even autozone, for less than ten dollars. As the first poster stated, it's pretty easy to put on. Get a flashlight, a screwdriver, and a pair of pliers and get down under the steering wheel. Look up at the brake pedal and you will see the switch. Also when you are done, have a helper get behind the truck so you can apply the brakes, make sure the light is on, then let off the brake and make sure they go out, if you dont have it adjusted properly, your brake lights can stay on all the time and drain your battery.

  3. Advance Auto.  Part Number:  S6067.

    Stoplight switch  $7.98

Pretty easy to install.  It is located under the arm of the brake pedal.  Make sure that you get it adjusted correctly.

    Good luck!
