  1. You don't sound responsible enough to have ONE bird, let alone TWO. You have NOT done any research whatsoever on how to tame birds or you'd have them tamed to you by now. There is absolutely NO excuse for getting two birds and having no idea how to handle them. If your parents let you get another one after you unload these, they're almost as irresponsible as you are.

A Quaker, by the way, can be as ornery as TWO birds put together.  You're ALLOWING these birds to dominate you, and that's the biggest mistake you can ever make. A Quaker will do the exact same thing.

Get a budgie until you can handle something bigger.

I have THREE birds (caiques, not conures) and never have they "ganged up on me". I've had three Quakers over the course of my lifetime and none of them ever did either. If you want something you can tame, get a stuffed animal.

  2. Okay. Conures are the most noisiest, violent little birds. I have one and she's a pain. But i've had her for 5 years now. She still acts like a little brat sometimes, but from time to time she lets me pet her and take her out of her cage (without biting me!). You need to give it a bit of time. I don't have a pair of conures, but maybe you should warm up to both and see what happens.
