I have a 2002 Chevrolet Blazer that came with a tape player. I want to replace it with a CD player, but is it possible to do it, with an original Chevrolet CD player (meaning one that had come in other Blazers...aka the factory one)??? Any answers would be greatly appreciated!

  1. Yes! you can replace it with a aftermarket cd player. Go to www.Crutchfield.com. If you buy a cd player from them they give you a wiring harness and everything you need to install the cd player for free. I've spent thousands of dollars on car audio from crutchfield. They stand behind everything they sell and the prices are excellent.

  2. Yes you can install a cd player from another blazer. You will have to get GM to program the new one though because the theftlock system will see it is in a different vehicle and will lock the player. Its usually a 15-30 min job.

edit: You can buy cd players from GM, yes. They are a bit pricey though.... around $400. I would suggest going with an aftermarket system. The sound is much better and you get way more for your dollar.
