  1. have you checked if you have power at the compressor

also the a/c control head also has control over this and have seen them with problems

also gm on some models will not run the compressor if the outside temp is not at a preset temp i think it is 60 or somthing close to that

also the sunload sensor on the dash if you have that type of system (automatic control) could be alot of stuff  but this will give somethings to check

also if the system is over charged it might not run

it has two sensors low and high on some systems

    hoe this helps

  2. confirm compressor is engaging..

pressure readings vary with outside temp...typically

30 psi on low side vs 250 psi on hi side will give comfortable results, if both gauges are reading the same or close to each other.. this in the most part tells you the compressor is not coming on indicateing an electrcal problem....is it the correct sensor?

    check fuses?

also overcharging a/c will cause poor cooling effect.

exceeding 40 psi low side and/or 350 on hi side is not recommended....will need to take to repair center to recover refrigerant ...do not vent to atmosphere..

not eco friendly and very illegal . lf all else fails take to reputable shop..no alley parts changer.
