2006 FORD MUSTANG TROUBLE

Question

i have been noticing that just recently when i start the car, the rpms start jumping up and down like crazy and it sounds weird. Also when i start drive the car it has complete shut off while driving.

might be you IAC solenoid,

to test,, NOTE this test will triger the engine light to turn on,,disconnect the connector of the IAC and start,,rpm should be stable...

maybe the alternator or the throttle body...When i had my old mustang it turned off on me when i was in a drive thru. I took it in and got the throttle body fixed and it worked fine

well if its cold in the morning then thats why the Rpms is going all crazy but what do you my "car it has complete shut off while driving"

i had a 02 that did the same thing and it was the alternator that was bad and it cost about $190.00 to fix

Have your alternator checked.

Could be an alternator issue.

Could be that the mass air sensor has gone bad and is throwing off the fuel air mixture.

Could be the 02 Sensors are bad and doing the same thing.

bad fuel filter.

My next question is, is the engine light on and if so what codes are being thrown.
