2012 Apocalypse? What do you think?

I think its something that is an incredible load of bullshit. I can argue with a better scientific arguement for each and every one of the "proofs" some people have for the "apocalypse of 2012"

The Bible clearly states that no one will know, so I believe that it is arrogant for anyone to claim that they know when the apocalypse will happen.  However, there are people who are adamant about this, and they will even tell people like me that I won't make it to heaven because I don't recognize that the end times are near.  I believe that if I live my life loving kindness, doing justice, and walking humbly with my Lord, that I will be 'ready' if and when the time comes, but I do not profess to know the mind of God.  Nobody does.

Mayans were advanced scientifically, they designed a calender, three in fact. One such calender counts down and when it does reach 0 the date is December 2012. Now you have to understand the astrological significance, which is on that date planetary alignments will enter a new constellation. Entering the new constellation is really entering a new age, if you understand the lingo, Jesus spoke of this age, revelations is just destruction that is a result of nearing, and to be honest, we are the ones doing the destruction to ourselves. Is 2012 the end of the world, not at all, its just the beginning of a new age. The apocalypse view is just the fear mongering side, things will get worse before they get better, but as they say its darkest just before dawn. I don't know what proofs you have but I am sure its just your rational to feel better about what is to come.

In his answer here, "Something" blindly repeats some nonsense about the Mayan calendar that's totally wrong. He and many others should research the real Mayan calendar and stop repeating nonsense some mountebank invented. There is nothing to this prediction, as someone will find if he does some research and stops believing "Balle" (Italian for "Bull c**p). I hope you tell "Something" where he's wrong.

I say that even when Jesus's Apostles asked when He would retore the Kingdom, He told them only the Father knows the date and time.  I don't believe it is wise seting dates.
