  1. If someone believes that then who are you to put them down like that? Now I kind of hope the world does end.

I personally know that someone big is going to happen.  Not the end of the world but I think that something world changing is going to happen.  Hopefully something that wipes out this pathetic race, or that helps humans become less of a virus and more aware.

  2. No way, the world was here billions of years ago and it will be here another billion years.

  3. frankly i don't believe it. people are only afraid of that day because of the mayan calendar and stuff about god returning to earth or something like that. There's also a special occurrence in space with the alignment of the sun and earth. It only happens every 13,000 years so it probably got some people scared.

  4. for one thing its pretty funny if you watched the number 23  its    12-23-2012 theres several 23 there yea well that and all you others havent noticed mayans have predicted all our major disasters and not even the natural ones like twin towers going down and nuklear bombings and what not thats why so many people beleive that it will end and for all you religious ones god could have told them all of these disasters nowing what will happen and even causing it through telling people what to do we dont know god could have goten bored and started to make people kill one another and now noticed that theres the global warming thing soooo maybe not the world its self but the human race usally the top of the food chain dies and slowly spreads to the bottom and then from there life starts all over.

  5. Rumored to be the end of the world is 2012 December 21.  It is a false rumor.  Like you, I do not believe it.  Let me assure you though that the world will not end on that date yet but it will really end one day.  Remember that if there is a beginning, there is an end.

Nostradamus’ prophecy of when the world will end is far into the future, past about 3700.  This is in agreement with what I heard and learned from the Holy Spirit—that there will only be about 144,000 around AD 2200, peace reigns for a thousand years till around AD 3200, and then Satan will be released to test the descendants of the elect for about 500 years.  After that, the end will come.

The Mayan’s Mesoamerican Long Count calendar forms the basis for a New Age belief, first forecast by Jose Arguelles, that a cataclysm will take place on or about 2012 December 21 (Wikipedia).  Mainstream Mayan scholars consider “cataclysm” or “apocalypse” as a misinterpretation for to the Mayan scribes, it literally means uncovering or revealing.

The Long Count has 360 days in a year called “Tun”.  A “Tun” has 18 months or “unials” and each “unial” has 20 days.  Twenty (20) Tuns is a Katun and 20 Katuns is a Baktun (144,000 days or about 400 solar years).  Thirteen (13) Baktuns is a “Great Cycle” of 1,872,000 days (5,200 Tuns or about 5,125 solar years).  The Great Cycle in the proleptic Gregorian calendar started on 3114 BC August 11 (day 0.0.0.0.0) and ends on 2012 December 21 (day 13.0.0.0.0) – winter solstice in the Northern Hemisphere.  The Great Cycle restarts the next day (day 0.0.0.0.0).  The representation of the Great Cycle of the Mayan Long Count calendar is as follows: (13 Baktuns.20 Katuns.20 Tuns.18 Uinals.20 days).

In the book of Revelation, it tells us about a period of a thousand years of peace. Has this occurred already since the time of Jesus?  Not yet. That will still come. Those that give predictions of the world’s end, such as 2012 and numerous times during the past, are pseudo-preachers. Have they talked to God directly? If so, give proofs.

But there is something that will certainly happen—and that is our physical death. This is what we should prepare for. It may come when least expected. We do not know the day and the hour. It will come like a thief in the night. So we just have to be prepared all the time. Search for the true God and when we find Him, follow His commandments and remain in Him until our last dying breath.

This is all that we have to do. It is faith in the true God that we can take with us when we depart from this world. If we denied Him, He will deny us also before the Father in Heaven and send us to h**l. This is very scary – to live in h**l forever.  If we knew Him and loved Him and followed His commandments, then He may reward us to live with Him eternally in His kingdom in Heaven. This is the survival kit that we should have.

Did you know that in his or her boredom, “Thanks for reading this” theorized in Yahoo Answers, Religion & Spirituality section, that 2012 is 20 + 12 = 32, the approximate age of Jesus when He was crucified and died?  I answered that when Jesus died, He was actually 32 solar years old, equivalent to 33 lunar years.  Details are in http://www.geocities.com/peacecrusader88...  Is this a sign that God is warning us of the impending calamity around 2012, like the end of the Mayan’s calendar cycle?  But I repeat, 2012 is not the end of the world yet.

The Holy Spirit also told us that beings from another planet will take only the marked good people out of this world.  I asked Him if it’s a million.  He said much less than that.  Then I asked if the number is the one mentioned in Revelation and He affirmed it.  A few weeks ago this year, 2008, as I was reading Revelation, I came across Revelation 14:3 to wit (King James Version):  ÃƒÂ¢Ã‚€ÂœAnd they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.”  ÃƒÂ¢Ã‚€ÂœRedeemed from the earth” means saved from the earth.  And there were 144,000 of them.  This must be what the Holy Spirit was referring to several years ago.  His advice to all: leave their wicked way of life and change their way of thinking.  We should come back to the true God before it’s too late.  (I read in Isaiah 55:7 this message, to wit (KJV): “Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.”)  Be good then so that we may be considered to be among the 144,000 who will be saved, and later will restart and repopulate this world.  The Holy Spirit told us to tell people about this prophecy even though they accuse us as being out of our minds.  He assured us that this will happen, similar to Noah’s prophecy of the Great Flood which took a hundred years before it was fulfilled.  The vessel that Noah used to be saved was an ark.  This time, another kind of vesssel will be used to save the elect.

What is also certain to happen very soon (in about 2012 or earlier) is World War III and this is a nuclear war.  This “calamitous war” (as Nostradamus called it) will start from the Philippines, at Spratly Islands in particular.  The Spratly Islands lie on the southeast part of the South China Sea mostly near the coast of the Philippines.  The Holy Spirit told us that the Philippines is the wick of a gas lamp.  Once the wick is lit, it will be on and aglow.  He told us about this prophecy about two decades ago.  He said that the troubles in the Philippines will spread to the whole world until mankind is almost annihilated and a few will remain.  Spratly Islands are being claimed wholly by China, Taiwan and Vietnam; and partly by Malaysia, Brunei and the Philippines.  The area is considered a tinderbox, a flash point.  It is very rich in oil and gas resources, estimated to be more than the reserve of Kuwait.  The high price of oil may trigger the grabbing of these islands and start the war.

Four independent prophecies point to the certainty that this will happen.  These are Nostradamus’ prophecies to happen around this time (quatrains 6:24 and 2:62) , the 56th Chinese prophecy of Tui Bei Tu (the past 55 prophecies have already been fulfilled) found at http://www.alexchiu.com/philosophy/corp3... and Wikipedia, Revelation 9:18 of the Holy Bible, and those that the Holy Spirit revealed to us.  If you are interested in the details about these prophecies, please send me your request via email.

After the calamitous war, we will have a new age, a spiritual awakening or enlightenment, and peace will reign for a long time.  The population would have been reduced by a third and there will be much arable land that will be available.  People will be living in planned cities and communities.  Would you like to live in a city where the land is free and you are guaranteed possession of the land for 50 years, renewable, and which you can bequeath to an heir?  One of the changes may include a single monetary system as you mentioned.

The Holy Spirit has given His prophecies and these are what will happen.  Be rest assured then that the world will not end yet.  But please, heed what He advises us to do—to change our wicked way of life and change our wrong beliefs.  Come back to the true God.

I am just sharing with you what I heard and learned from the Holy Spirit.  The decision to believe Him or not depends upon yourself.  I am not forcing anyone to believe in what I share.  It is not my responsibility to save you or anyone, but the person’s.

Isaiah 35:4 (KJV) states: “Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; he will come and save you.”

  6. I don't !! A local radio station was talking about but  Honestly how many times has MAN claimed the world was going to end at a certain time?

    answer:several

Therefore no man knows the day or coming of the Lord!!

{not the end of the world} Also the Mayans came up with this calender they believe that the moon, sun, and stars are supposed to be aligned with this constellation on this date!! Please don't fall for this...c**p!

  7. People who say that they know when the world is going to end, ignore the Words of Christ the Lord, when He Said that "Only the Father Knows when the world will end."

  8. The Mayans had a writing system composed of ropes & strings and wiped out their own civilization...can they really predict the end of the world?

  9. crazy people i guess....

  10. There are many people who want to cite 2012 as the year that something big and bad happens. It's the year the Mayan calendar ends and restarts. It's an excuse for fear-mongering.

This also happens with other long-term calendars, and it happened with the Y2K thing. There will be a change that year: it's the last year of the first term of the next US President, and the year that we either choose (as a country) to keep him or to try a new one.

There can be no predicting the future without knowing precisely what's coming. If they can't point to a real reason for why something happens, I tend not to want to believe them. I'm kind of a jerk that way.

However, just because I don't believe them, that doesn't mean that I can't treat them with the same respect I would want to be shown. I simply tell people that my religion doesn't proselytize (we don't believe in missionaries), and I refuse to speak beyond that. I tell them that I don't want their pamphlet, and tell them I will only throw it away if they allow me to keep it. I'm kind of honest that way.

  11. I don't.  People also said the world was going to end in the year 2000.. we're still here

  12. If you are a believer of god, then you know the answer to that.....no. That is because only god the almighty decides our fate and the end of mankind, not us. It's nonsense.

  13. 2012 marks the point on the Mayan calander where the current cycle, ends, it's something like 2500 years. At this point 2 things supposibly happen; The current age, the age of picese ends and the Aquarian age begins, and the earth passes through the center plain of the galaxy, called the equanox, causing the planet to shake for an instant destroying a large portion of life on earth. I don't beleive this but also I don't ignore it. Regardless of what happens everyone will go through it, it doesn't matter what we know, things will still happen.

God decides nothing, neither do we, it's foolish to think that what you beleive has any effect on the universe.

  14. I don't believe or disbelieve.. but I'm definitely interested in researching it. I've read books about it and there's a lot more to it than what some people think. It's not just weirdos handing out pamphlets.

There are basically three completely different sources that all point to 2012 being the end of the world as we know it. The Mayan calendar ends in 2012.. the Mayans were smart people and they predicted their own extinction correctly, so it seems safe to believe they predict ours correctly.. scientists say that in 2012, the earth's poles are going to reverse and magnetism will be highly affected, thus destroying the human race (we depend on magnetism for many things).. and the Bible gives very clear examples of what is going to happen as we approach the Apocalypse. Many of the things mentioned in the Bible are currently taking place.

So, believe what you want, I guess we'll all see what happens in 2012, yeah?

And this is nothing like how people thought the world was ending in 2000.. that was basically just people freaking out because they thought the clocks and calendars on their computers would be reset to the year 0001 or 1001. It was confusion, not predictions for the extinction of an entire race.
