I'm 21 and my boyfriend is 20. We have been ttc for 7 months. I know it can take up to a year for healthy young couples but I wonder if something is wrong. We have tried not watching ovulation signs and we have tried calculating them to the hour. Nothing works. What could be going on? also... If we would go to the doctor to find out if anything is wrong, where do we start? I'm afraid doctors will just tell me to relax since were both young. Thanks for your help and baby dust to all.

  1. Stop focusing om it and it will happen!! Relax stop stressing and make love a lot!! Good Luck and have faith

  2. first i think you should make sure of your ovulation schedule.

start BBT charting, go to www.fertilityfriend.com and start at the begining of your next cycle.

if you do this for a couple months and it shows something is not normal then bring that to your obgyn. If it shows normal then you can still ask your Dr about it. also, people always assume that if there is an issue it is the woman, men have sperm issues also, and just because you are young there wouldn't be one but i am 25 and i have a 10 month old and i needed clomid to get pregnant with her.

you still have time though, 7 months i know seems really long (i tried for 9 months before bringing my BBT charts to the Dr)

but it takes some couples longer.

as hard as it is, try and relax! you do have time on your side which is great. it will happen and you 2 will be so excited!

    baby dust!!!

  3. I agree, RELAX!!  But a lot depends on you and how you're treating yourself.  Are you stressed out?  Getting a full 8 hours of sleep each night?  On a normal sleep cycle?  Recently off the pill?  Eating a balanced diet?  Make sure to take care of yourself so that you're in the best condition to conceive!  And good luck!  :)

  4. Not sure where you would start but my friend JUST got prego after 2 years with her fiance and she is only 20... I would keep triing for a while if you TRUELY can take care of a baby and want one.

  6. Hun don't worry to much :-) My husband and I are both young as well and in your same shoes. First off, have you both been tested? Start with your boyfriend going to the dr to get his swimmers tested and if he has a good amount of them and is told everything is fine with him then you can go in to get checked. My husband and I have been trying for 5mo and just found out that my husband dose not have very many swimmers and that is whats holding us back.

So just check those things out and if ya'll are both good then don't worry, stress lessens the likelihood of becoming preg. Start taking prenatal vits and eating healthy. Make love ever other day for 2 weeks after you cycle and enjoy and have fun. :-) That's a recipe for a beautiful bundle of joy :-)
