  1. 1.   Anything and everything.   After Ironman Wisconsin, I went straight to Great Dane for a giant cheeseburge and a couple mugs of their Octoberfest.

    2.  Ipod while riding is stupid and dangerous.   You need to be aware of your surroundings, not lost and oblivious in your personal universe.

    3.  I don't know about B.S. excuses.....  I prefer to ride solo.   I don't need an excuse.

  2. After a long ride I usually have a recovery drink as soon as I stop. This will rehydrate me and replace the electrolytes that I have lost during the event.

I also have a can of a well known cola drink that begins with the word coca. This probably does my body very little good but it's a treat for me when I've been cycling all day.

Then there's the food. Not too many carbs and plenty of quality protein so it's perhaps a nice tuna salad or perhaps some quality cooked low fat meat.

The i-pod. Well I usually listen to the radio, but if I use my i-pod it'll usually be some rock & roll stuff with the right beat to suit my cadance.

I-pods are legal in England as long as they do no affect your cycling. Using only one ear piece is a good idea in towns and cities.

I usually ride on my own, even in a long distance event. I can go at my own pace and stop whenever I want. I tend to ride a fixed gear machine so my riding style rarely fits with people on a geared machine.

  3. 1) Pizza and beer.  2) I don't listen to an iPod.  I feel its too dangerous and probably illegal where you live.  3) I don't like planning my rides.  I go whenever and wherever I want.

  4. Tuna on wheat bread.

I don't listen to my Ipod on the bike because it's illegal and dangerous.

I'm too slow for a group ride, and am spontaneous, wanting to ride when I want and where I want.  Plus, I don't have road bike, I have a hybrid that roadies scoff at.
