3 subs, 1 amp?

Question

if i wire 2 4 ohm subs in Series 2 equal 8 ohms n run them in Parallel wit another 4 ohm sub 2 a bridged 2 channel amp.. will that bring the amp 2 a 6 ohm load?

or

if the 2 4 ohm subs were wired in series 2 equal an 8 ohm setup n wire them in Parallel with another 4 ohm would it put out a 2.6 ohm load? 2.66667 r the exact numbers i was given.

in you case it will be a 6 ohm load

as you said 8 ohms and 4 ohms in parallel = 6ohms

NOT 2.66667

now that i answered you question i will advice you one thing

as you would know 6 ohms load means less power to each sub(3 in your case)

and more over the two subs @ 8 ohms will pound less than the single one @ 4 ohms

so drop the idea of using 3 subs

- get a good box built , made of mdf

- sealed is space is less and not much bass is required

- ported if more bass is required and space is not an issue

even two subs in ported box running @2ohms will turn out to be very good if tuned properly.

or get one more amplifier for the third subwoofer to run it @ 4 ohms and you can use all your subs.
