4 bedroom apartments in Manhattan

Question

I'm looking to move to Manhattan with three friends. Three of us have full-time jobs and one will be attending graduate school. Is it possible to find a decent 4 bedroom apartment in Manhattan for 3500-4000/mo? Where would be a good place to look? I know we have found a few places in East Harlem around 102nd but would prefer to live further downtown if possible.

If you want a "decent" place in Manhattan...it is going to be quite pricey.  You may find a 2 bedroom for that price.   A 4 bedroom is going to run you way over $6000.00 a month.
