4X100m Relay Question?

In the 4X100m relay is the fastest person suppose to start first 100m, 2nd 100m, 3rd 100m, or run the last 100m? What about the second fastest, 3rd fastest, and the slowest? Where do they go?

the fastest person should always run the last 100m. just incase you are behind for the last 100m that person should be able to catch your relat team up to the others.

the second fastest could either start the race or run the 3rd leg. its good to have good starting speed so the last runner will not be so behind the others but its also good to have double trouble with your two fastest runners at the end.



the 3rd fastest should take the place that the 2nd fastest didnt take. if the 2nd fastest took the 3rd 100m than the 3rd fastest should run the start.

the 4th fastest obviously should run the second 100m.

its always worked for my relay teams
