64 bit operating system?

i have a laptop with a celeron m430 at 1.73 ghz. can i install vista home premium on 64 bit or should install the 32 bit edition? which is faster?

your system doesn't sound 64 bit compatible. Stick with 32

If your laptop only has a celeron m430 @ 1.73GHz, you should try to get your hands on a copy of Windows XP Pro.  You're going to have a hard time running Vista at all.  If you don't have any choice, install the 32-bit version.  The m430 can support 64-bit, but there have been alot of compatibility issues, and unless you've got more than 4GB of RAM, you won't see much of a performance improvement anyway.
