Question:

*67 (Restricted number) abuse issue?

I've received several prank calls recently, all from restricted numbers (I'm assuming they used *67). Is there any way to find out who has the restricted number(s) easily and/or for free? I have Verizon Wireless, and my family is a longtime customer of theirs (I really don't have THAT big of an ego ;) I'm only saying this because it's helped us in the past). Otherwise, are there legal actions I can take (I'm only curious, I don't want to go that far if I can avoid it)?

Thank you.

  1. I've had this issue too.  Unfortunately my carrier (T-Mobile) was not able to block "private" calls on my phone, and they suggested that I just change my phone number.  However Verizon might be able to block "private" calls for you.

Dial 611 on your phone to connect to support--  they should be able to help you block the private calls if they offer that feature.
