Question:

7 year old birthday party tips?

My little brother is turning 7, and he's having party next weekend. He's inviting both boys and girls, about 6-8 of them in all. We have some ideas for games (treasure hunt, pinata...) but we need a few more. Do you have any tried-and-true ones? We've tried Google, but there are just so many to sift through! Any sort of tips are welcome, this is the first "real" party he's had. I didn't have one until I was much older, and mine were all-girl. It's going to be about three hours, and probably indoors. It's too cold/snowy for the kids to be outdoors.

  1. you should have a hands-on cooking activity. like you can pre-bake cookies or cupcakes and the kids could decorate them

  2. freeze dance, pinetta, videogames, movies

  3. my cousin had a cartoonist come and draw a picture for all of them and the kids were amazed and were around the table the whole time he was drawing

  4. wow pinata?! here are some ideas:

    -rent a water slide

    -rent a moon walk

-give some time after he opens presents, they might wanna play with something when he opens it

-it might be messy but put toys in water and freeze it the night before the party. then get something that they can break the ice open with. what ever is inside the ice they keep

that all my cool and fun ideas. happy birthday to your brother!
