  1. 8 cylinders right now is about the worst thing you can do... a little 4 cylinder engine is a lot more economical and you will pay half of gas of what you would pay for an 8.

  2. the more cylinders, the more power, the more bigger engine, longer lasting, kills gas like crazy, it goes 4cyl, 6, 8, 10, 12 and so on.

4cyl is the smallest engine, saves most gas. stick with a 4cyl or 6cyl now especially with gas prices

  3. Well 8 cylinders are awesome if you like power but they can consume a lot of gas. 4 cylinders on the other hand are economical but you don't feel the same power. So that is mostly a choice of what you want. The more cylinders the car has the less fuel efficient it'll be. Now personally I don't care how much gas I waste I would drive an 8 cylinder cause the feeling is awesome. Also the 8 cylinder or any car for that matter consumes gas depending on how you drive it. Hope I helped.

  4. A V8 is made for power and smooth running, not efficiency. If you want efficiency you'd be best off with a little four cylinder.

Rear wheel drive will be more efficient than front wheel drive and will last a great deal longer. Also, stay away from gasoline turbo models. They're not very efficient. Turbo Diesels are very, very efficient and well worth their price. Besides, diesels last longer with lower upkeep.
