89 chevy s-10 problem

Question

a newer transmission was installed,a 5-speed with no sensor for 5th gear or speedo, the old one had the sensor inputs, now when the motor gets warm , it cuts out and runs like c**p,,can i bypass these sensors,what can i do?----the speedo dose not bother me that much, but im thinking of putting the old tranny back in,,,it needs a third gear cyncro ..any one??thanks

Not sure the ranny has anything to do with the problem. If it does then the sensor wire has an end on it if it is a single end then it needs to grounded when you get to that gear. If it has two wires then just put a jumper wire in both holes and try it.
