8hrs Transit in Doha and alone!?

Question

I'm taking Qatar Airways flight from Singapore to Munich and will be in transit for 8hrs!! My first time taking a long flight and I don't know what to do for that time! I've been hearing about the transit lounge but can't get much info at their website. Also...will I be able to go to the city during that 8 hrs transit?? If yes, any visas required? help help me! I'm leaving this coming Monday ;)
