  1. Your buying a $150 dollar paperweight. Altimas sideways motor front exhaust and rear intake there are not easy to turbo. the heat of the turbo will melt the radatior fans. There are not to many turbocharging kits available and almost none that you can adapt to the KA-24 motor with t-3 or t-4. Remember the turbo was removed for some reason and will need rebuilding first. Modifications to the exhaust manifold has to be made for turbo to mate up. Oil lines water cooling hoses oil drain backs and intercoolers plumbing blow off valve and some one experenced in larger injectors engine computer modifications necessary to make use of the extra engine displacement. So after approx $3,000 in parts then $3,000 for engine rebuild with low compression pistons your 10 year old car will keep up with a V-6 Firebird or 6 cyl mustang.

  2. thats a pretty good deal for it, if their isnt a lot of shaft play.  one thing your going to need is a manifold that will bolt to that turbo, I know that some saab's and volvo's had strange bolt pattern so you might have to drill new holes for it to bolt to a standard t3 manifold.  last year i turbocharged my ka24de in my 240sx "same engine you have just rwd". It was fast, faster then my stock sr20det, but keep blowing head gasket since the higher compression and not running an intercooler.  As for all the part you will need for a basic setup,  you will need a turbo, intercooler, two oil lines for sending (I will explain why in just a second), ball valve, 4 way fitting for oil sending unit, oil line for return, bung welded in your oil pan for oil return, bov, piping, air filter, downpipe for turbo, custom exhaust work, boost gauge, oil pressure gauge, and a fuel system upgrade, and a aggravating and expensive  method for tuning.    Now for why you need two oil sending lines, a ball valve and a 4-way fitting.  the 4-way fitting is used to tap into you oil pressure sending unit, so you can get that oil to your turbo and hook up your oil gauge.  the ball valve is connected between the two oil sending lines, and is used to adjust and lower the oil pressure going to the turbo, so you won't destroy the bearings.  I would like to go into the subject of fuel and tuning, but thats would make this answer a four page report, also these is brief answer is enough to over whelm and beginner booster

  3. You are trying to put a turbo from a Saab or Volvo on a Nissan?  Neither of those turbos will bolt up to a Nissan since they are all different manufacturers.  12psi is a lot of boost so unless you really beef up the internals you will blow the engine up pretty fast.  Probably want to upgrade the fuel and ignition systems too.

Spend the money to do it right or you are just throwing away money.

  4. its an altima!!!!! do not ever waste your money on then. you CAN NOT make them fast. they are definetely not meant for a turbo
