My daughter has been going to A Childs Adventure daycare for about 3 yrs. I was suppose to make a payment on friday. (Which is really payment for the next week) Monday was mlk day! No school. Tuesday I forgot!! But wednesday they called my wife and said they were going to leave her at the school due to no payment!! SHE'S 5 yrs old!! Is this legal? What should I do? I really like the school and the teachers are great! The place is always clean. I'm lost.

  1. Let me get this right... the last time you paid was a week before MLK day.  So they've gone without payment for what two weeks?  If I'm getting my facts confused, please clarify

I hope they gave you a couple of hours of notice, but they are a business.   They deserve payment for their services.  Daycares are often left with bills after a non-paying parent withdraws his/her child.

  2. Yes it is very legal, if someone somewhere in our chain of paying things slips up and doesn't pay for my daughters school then we get a letter home and a phone call from the director. If the day care does not extend this !!!Courtesy!!! it is not nice to you, but for god sake pay your bills!!!!

  3. all you have to do is let themm know when you will go in and make your payment, they should pick her up from school. They really can't do that unless they have given you time and you just didn't pay.

  4. Yes they can suspend care if there is no payment made ofter being warned to pay.

  5. You should find someone else to pick up your child - a business needs to be paid -they have bills too - to not pay is to not appreciate and to take  major advantage of them taking care of your most precious child.  Get real.
