A Completely Free Mp4 converter...?

Question

I need to convert some mp4 files into formats that will work with windows movie maker, and I would like it to be completely free and have no limitations like only converting a small portion or having a water mark. The files I am converting are really big too, like 500 mb, so some of the methods I have found won't work...Please Help Me!!
