Question:

A Question About Chiropractics???

I went for my consult at the chiropractors today because i have been having some lower back pains. The chiropractor took some x-rays and did a few other things and determined that i do have a few problem areas. She also told me that they could be the cause of a number of issues that i've been having, such as gastrointestional issues, headaches, menstrual problems, and pain in my knees. Is this true, or is this just a bunch of c**p? And she also cracked my back and neck, and it kinda freaked me out. Is this safe?

Thank you!

  1. all of that is most likely true. my dad is a chiropractor, and a very good one at that. he has explained that when you have a problem with a spot of bones anywhere it can have other effects on you rbody other that just back pain. and dont be frieaked out about when they adjust you. its good for you to have it done and you get over it after a while.

  2. I have been down that chiropractic road.  I have only gone to one when I had an acute problem with my back or neck.  I only go for 2 visits and then tell them I want to wait and see how I feel after a few days.  Don't let them talk you into a series of visits...they will try to do that.

I really don't like to have my neck cracked and I tell them that. (I've only had it done once or twice..but no more bec. It freaks me out.)

I think a lot of the stuff they tell you is intertwined with c**p and I don't buy into a lot of what they profess.
