A Survey Question: War in Iraq?

Answer this Question for the sake of a poll.

Should we be focusing on Iraq, or our borders, or both?

Answer first by giving your straightforward answer, and if you want, explain your reasoning below.

I think we should never have gone to Iraq!

We should be focusing on both, but we definitely need to put more effort into our borders.

I will get a bunch of thumbs down for this but:

Iraq was necessary in several ways, First was to end a mad mans rule and the inhuman treatment of innocent people. Saddam and his sons were cruel to the Iraqi people.

Second is with this mad-man in power he could have blindsided our Troops in Afghanistan, we could not take the chance he would have.

Our boarders need to be better controlled and any illegals documented and sent back. If a previously documented person is caught a second or third time they should be sent to prison in Mexico the Mexican Gov should help in this endeavor so the Mexican people will understand that there is a legal way to come to the US and THAT IS HOW THEY SHOULD COME.

I think that going to iraq was a mistake but we still have a commitment to establish a government and bring relative peace to the country if we dont we will never gain back our respect back from our allies,, we can just give up the outcome of surrender would be awfull , dont bring the fighting here or to isreal

I'd say both.  I guess if I had to pick one, I'd say the borders, but I don't have to choose.  Iraq is pretty much taken care of.

I am very disappointed that neither major party candidate wants to stop illegal immigration and get the illegals out of our country.

I would pick both. Both are highly important to our long term security and stability. Iraq is being stabilized as we speak and when we pull out, we need it to be a functioning democracy that can be our ally in the region to counterbalance the growing threat of Iran.

Our borders are also highly important because we need to assure our territorial integrity. If we allow foreign nationals to launch a silent invasion called illegal immigration, we will lose our national... personality for lack of a better term.

Iraq is a disaster. We shouldn't have gone there in the first place. We invaded a sovereign nation. I think it's best we get out of there before we f*** up even more.

Our borders don't need to be secured. Terrorists are not coming from Mexico. The people who come from Mexico just want a chance to live the American dream. It would be impossible to "secure" the border. What about the Canadian border? We've got an enormous border on both sides, it is impossible to "secure" it. Terrorists aren't coming, anyway. Even if they were, I doubt it would be by hopping the border.

The war is on it's way to being over. The border however,is a problem. There are laws in the book's already that, if the democratic controlled congress and senate, were to stop flexing their shriveled up little muscles and enforce, there wouldn't be an illegal immigrant problem.

We need to finish up in Iraq (stabily, not just withdrawing all troops in a month period, or a year in that matter)

We need to focus on shutting down our borders and start deporting illegal aliens. Illegal aliens are one of the mian reasons our economy is dying. They work tax free, but get taxpayer paid government support.
