A Very Confusing Relationship Question

Okay here it is:

There are a father and his son, let's name them John the Father, and Smith the Son. Then there is a mother and her daughter, let's name them Anna the Mother, and Josie the Daughter. Smith had married Anna, but John married Josie. What the h**l is each relationship with each?

  1. Their still father and son and mother and daughter.  Getting involved beyond the semantics of that just gives one a headache.  Just because the son married the older of the two doesn't make him the father or whatever.  If they have children Smith's child will still be John's grandson and John's son will be Smith's brother.

  4. Not very confusing. Smith likes cougars, John likes to rob the cradle. Smith becomes John's father-in-law, Josie becomes her mothers mother-in-law.
