Do any of these things actually work?

Have any of you ever done any of these weird home remedies for helping acne, and actually had them work? What did you do and what were the results (specifics)?

Thanks(:

  1. Toothpaste did seem to dry the acne up, but didn't help it heal faster. Ice packs will help reduce swelling, and also I have heard taking two baby aspirin a day will help keep swelling down. But you should consult a doctor before taking it everyday. Witch Hazel kills bacteria with out drying your skin, but has a funny smell. Hope this helps.

  2. Toothpaste is great- its dries the oily area up and sson your spots will just vanish! :-)

You could also try washing your face with Salt water now and then- spots always seem to get better when your on holiday- its the sea air and salt water!

If all fails, and you have a bad case of acne you can always go to your GP and they can give you something! Good luck!

  3. Products which contain SA (salicylic acid) and BPO (benzoyl peroxide) work.
