The days have been getting longer for some reason...why, only in December they were...like, 8 hours or something. It wasn't dark here today til about almost 9 pm!

Anyhow this longer day thing got to be global warming for sure, right?

  1. Slaps head!!!!! OMG! No,  is everything global warming now?  hahahaha..   The days get shorter and longer based on the relative position of the earth to the sun and inclination.

  2. temperature, sea level, humidity, population of some animals ( such as the polar bear) and climate are  affected by global warming, but not the length of days or nights, the factors that affect the length of day and night are the earth' s rotation and revolution around the sun.

  3. Not really, because the length of the day is based on the earth's position, so it depends on the month and your latitude and longitude. Global warming can, however, affect the weather.

  4. Um.  How long have you been alive?  This happens because the position of the Earth during it's trip around the Sun causes the axis to be positioned differently during different times of the year.  It has always done that.

  6. I'm going to go out on a limb here ,and say that you'll soon  have nothing to be 'alarmed' about.  I'll be willing to bet that the days will start to get shorter by the end of next month.

But global warming, from the abuse of fossil fuels for the past 200 years , will continue.

  7. And it's aggravated by daylight savings time.  What are they thinking??

Iman,  I think you might be retarded.  Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I thought you should know.

  8. NORMALLY THE DAYS GET LONGER IN THE SUMMER TIME AND THE LONGEST DAY IS IN JUNE.

  9. Have you ever heard of the summer and winter solstices?  What about the spring and fall equinoxes?

How about the 4 seasons?  In winter, and this is for the Northern Hemisphere, the winter solstice is around December 20-22.  That is the first day of winter, and it is also the day with the shortest daylight, due to the sun's low position in the sky.  In spring, the spring equinox is around March 20-22.  That is the first day of spring, and since winter began, the days have been getting longer each day.  The summer solstice is around June 20-22.  That is the first day of summer, and, due to the sun's position in the sky, it is the day with the longest daylight.  September 20-22 is the fall equinox, and since summer began, the days are getting shorter again, and when December 20-22 comes around again, that will be the shortest day again.  It DOES NOT have ANYTHING to do with global warming!!!!!

  10. oh im sure gore and his brainwashed people will soon come up with this one, even though this happens every summer .

  11. The days are longer in summer and shorter in winter...it's not global warming so much as daylight savings.

  12. Daylight savings..... Its natural.. Thank the guy who came up with it... I forget his name. Franklin something..............
