Question:

A few names lined up...

I'm a month away from having our second child. Our first childs name is Aimee Elisabeth. My husband and I have quite a few names picked out but we want your opinions as well. Which of the bunch do you like best? If you aren't fond of any of them please pick one that you prefer over the others. It's going to be a girl they say, so we chose:

Perrin

Tamsin

Sawyer

We don't really trust the doctors when they say it's going to be a girl because they said that for my sister and she ended up with a boy. So choose a girls name and recommend an English boys name too!

Thanks!

  1. Tasmin Hannah

    Curtis Nolan

  2. Well your first girls name is great, that is what we were going to have if we had a girl.

I found girls name really hard at times to choose.

    I like:

    Chloe

    Jasmin

    Isobel

    Charlie

    Grace

    Imogen

    Meegan

    Boys names:

    William

    Tyler

    David

    Ian

Ishay say it as E shay

Caren say it as care rin

Godd luck hope all goes well with the baby.

  3. i love Tamsin Maria for a girl and Perrin John for a boy or Lachlan John, Henry John

  4. non of them would be my choice, but its all up to you what you like

  5. sorry, i don't like any of them, except Sawyer for a boy.

  6. Sawyer is nice....I dislike the other two.

    Boy names-

    Anthony

    Patrick (Irish, I know)

    Benjamin

    Owen

    Jamie

  7. I like Autumn Raine for a girl. Kadence Skye.

I like Carson Gage for a boy. Hunter Alexander.

Good luck and congrats. I also have some other names I like but no middle names for them yet. If you'd like go to my profile and email me or IM me for them i'd be more than glad to give them to you.

  8. well for a girl i've always liked the name azaelia and caleb for a boy

  9. I like Tamsin

  10. I think Sawyer is a bit of a boys name personally...out of Tamsin and Perrin, i like Perrin a bit more. Tamsin could face a lifetime of Tasmin, which i thought it was initially, but can be nicknamed to Tammy or Tam, and Perrin can be Perri or Rin.

For an English boys name i will suggest Sebastien! Or Benjamin? These can easily be shortened to Seb/Sebby and Ben/Benny!

    Hollis is okay...gl!

  11. Sawyer Marie

  12. I personally really like all the names. Though if I had to go in order of most liked to 'least' liked I'd go with Sawyer, Perrin, Tamsin.

I, unlike most of the others that have answered thus far, love the boyish sounding name of Sawyer for a girl. It's not overtly masculine and is adorable.

As for a boys name: Dante Levi, with a nickname of D/Dee.

  13. Sawyer would be my fav out of what you listed.  Sorry, I can't tell you boys names because you didn't list any you like.  There is a book (and maybe on the internet) that gives good names for siblings.  My find good fitting names for sisters for "Aimee".  I have a friend whose daughter's name is Aimee and she has a sister named Katie.  Another friend with an Amy and Caitlyn.

  14. I am not overly fond of any of the choices but if i had to choose it would be Tamsin - it is the most feminine out of the three.

Boys suggestion - Isaac or Jack.

    Good luck :)

  15. no offense but Sawyer sounds a bit boy-ish, i guess because it reminds me of tom sawyer, but i like Tamsin is it is a girl :]

    very unique

  16. perrin and i think maybe damian for a boys name

  17. Out of your options I like Tamsin.  I haven't heard of Perrin before, only Perri.

What about the combination of Tamsin Perri?  That would be a nice name

  18. none of the above

  19. I like Tamsin best... although it's no surprise, as I love my own name, Tamara.  It's also rare, and you can call her Tam or Tams for short... which is sweet.  One word of advice though... please, please, please don't let her go by the nickname Tammy.  I do... and I hate it.  Tamsin is such a nice name on its own... don't ruin it with Tammy, which sounds so dated in my opinion.

As for boys, what about Crispin, Tiernan, Griffith, Cornin, or Dustan?  This is advice from the Baby Name Wizard... a book I highly recommend.

  20. I like tasmin, you can call her Taz.

For boy, Richard Alan or Alan Richard- Richie as a nick name [My bro's name]
