  1. In my opinion, the best way to learn a foreign language is learning it from the native speakers. Of course, you will have to learn the proper grammar before you just pick up the slang, but if you have a chance to live there and use the language every day, that is much better than any other way. If you have no chance to spend some time living in Greece, then I guess you should take some courses. I learned a little bit of Greek because I listen to Greek music, it's awesome, the best music ever. Also, my brother married a Greek girl a long time ago, that's how I got into it in the first place. I happen to be pretty good at languages, unfortunately I didn't work on it seriously, just picked up some things on the way. At first, Greek alphabet looked so strange to me, but amazingly, it took me just a few minutes to figure out how to read Greek. I think it is one of the easiest languages to read, it even tells you where to put the accent, so you can't get it wrong. You just have to learn how each letter is pronounced in the certain case. Its grammar seems to be pretty complex though, but you can learn anything if you want to. Good luck :)

  2. There is a course in the Athens universities if you are in greece

  7. the best way is to live with greek

  8. If u r in Greece and you are interested in learning Greek (conversational I assume), then u can post an ad for private lessons or answer an ad by someone who knows how to speak both Greek and English (check english ads in www.xe.gr).

  9. There are some good Cd's or DVDs you can buy that come with books.  Here is one link I use for some words since I know how to read Greek which I learned just last year.  I did not go to Greek school and taught myself.  The first one is http://free-translation.imtranslator.com...  The other one is http://www.kypros.org/LearnGreek.  I hope this helps!
