what is a good workout plan for golf to get more power and stuff like that

  1. In order to effectively increase your distance, you probably will need to dedicate 20-30 minutes, 3 days a week to excercise.  

    Concentrate mostly on your core, as that is where you get most of your power from.

    I would recommend pull ups, quad strengthening exercises, sit ups.  It's also important to not only concentrate on strength training, but to work on improving flexibility too.


  2. To build golf muscles the best thing to do hit lots of balls.

    Golf is really about speed and timing, not really power.

    I would suggest swinging a heavy club, stretching, swimming, and lots of cardio. Lifting may help but keep the weight light and do lots of quick reps.

    To get power in a golf swing you need lag, whip, late hit, its been called lots of things but its basically holding the angle from your hands and club shaft until late in the swing, then letting the club go and accelerating through the ball. Watch tiger.
