A little antivirus help?

Okay, it's like this. I've got AVG antivirus and I can't update it. It says "A .bin file is missing" I've tried downloading it again and then installing it again, but it's still the same. Can anyone tell me what's wrong? I'd appreciate it!

I came across the same problem but got it sorted.

1 - Start up AVG,click Update Now.

2 - The list of updates is shown in Popup, click on the more information link.A list of updates will be shown.

3 - Click on and save all updates in a file except the last one - http://downloadfree.avg.com/update/u7iav... - because this is causing the problem.

4 - Cancel the update and instead click on Tools > Update from Directory and go to the file where you saved the updates.Install these and AVG should be working properly again.

I'm having the same problem --alot of people are--don't listen to the spammers about another anti virus program--avg is a good one --the problem is with them and they say it'll be fixed in a couple days so I guess we just wait and see--there's nothing we can do to fix it they say--good luck!

ALOT OF PEOPLE HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEM WITH THIS AND NO ANSWERS HAVE BEEN PROVIDED YOU'RE BEST OFF AT GETTING A NEW ONE :) GOOD LUCK ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I RECOMMEND AVAST HOME EDITION

AVG is the WORST antivirus right now lol..sorry to say it but is true...the best one out there right now is BitDefender and I can prove it with thousands of reviews or this site...http://anti-virus-software-review.topten...

Uninstall it and get Avira Antivir from www.avira.com Look at www.av-comparatives.org to see the detection rates of AVs out on the market.
