I have just received a gift of a Na-no ( small ) lizard. He came along with tank etc, I haven't a clue how to look after him. I did get food for him but does anyone know, do I leave the light on in the tank all the time? I need as much info as possible.....thank you.

  1. you should have the heat lamp attached to a thermostat so when the enclosure reaches a certain temperature it either turns off or dims this saves energy, the bulb lasts longer and also stops the temperature in the tanks increasing constantly. if you have a uv bulb in the tank you should have it on a timer which should be on for 12-16 hours a day. you should have the water on the opposite side of the tank to the heat bulb and you should provide the lizard with temperature zones in the tank it should have a heated area where the bulb should be, a warmish area which should be in the middle of the tank and a cool area on the opposite side of the tank to the heat bulb where the lizard can go when its too warm. also in your tank you should have fake plants where the lizard can hide. make sure it has constant water but only a shallow bowl so it does not drown and make sure you spray the tank once a day to keep the humidity up. you should also dust the crickets with a small amount of vitamin powder to make sure that it gets all its nutrients.
