  1. Lots of Banana's

  2. Forget Brisbane. Avoid Sydney at all cost. Melbourne is it.

  3. Brisbane is great to live in, especially when its only an hours drive to the Gold Coast and the theme Parks, plus an hours drive to the Sunshine Coast. So great beaches on either side of Brisbane to spend those long weekends and holidays. Rental property is becoming very hard to get in ALL major towns and cities, so if your not going to buy a house, then make sure you can get a rental one.

  4. i live in Melbourne and can highly recommend it , we get 4 seasons . Brisbane gets very hot and muggy in its summer months . further south and the temperatures get a bit more tolerable. Brisbane has a fairly relaxed life style beautiful surroundings and is well worth a holiday . personally I'd live further south. Sydney is too fast. Melbourne some where in the middle. huge area between Brisbane and Melbourne to choose from . come and spend a holiday . travel up and down the coast and check out weather forecasts before you make your final home .

  5. I moved to Sydney from the UK, then I moved to Brisbane.

I am very happy here.  Most Brits like this country, and many of them like the Brisbane area.

Parts of Brisbane can get too warm for some of us, but the Bayside is popular as it gets the cooling bayside breezes.

All I can say is, give it a try of you can.  Even if you go back later, (and about 10% do go back within the first 5 years), it is well worth the experience.

  6. The facts are Brisbane gets very warm and humid during the summer months and believe me you never get used to it I've lived here my whole life (39years) and i hate FEBRUARY and MARCH they suck. But you can escape the heat a bit by going to the beach or to a cinema or making sure the house your either buying or renting has air-con. The rest of the year is awesome and then you get a chance to get out and explore up or down the coast both are good with plenty of things to do or inland to the hinterland regions some of the nicest drives you'll find anywhere.

  7. ive never been to brisbane, but ive been to sydney and its the best place ever!

If your ever going to drop by sydney, you should check out bondi beach and tamarama bay, there both real amazing beaches!

Oh and one more thing, no visit to sydney is complete without eating at charcoal charlies.. best. food. ever!!

you should check it on google maps!

    good luck
