I have received a payment to my paypal account from an ebay buyer but it is pending 'on hold' and says post item now. Funds will clear if he leaves a feeback or 21 days pass without a compliant from the buyer. Has this happened to anyone else? thanks

  1. If it is your first time using paypal (as above) then it could also be that you have not verified relevant information required for you to be able to use your account fully.

  2. nope contact paypal through the official links and not any attached to any emails, there are a few scams about and this sounds like one of them

  3. Thanks for the info

  4. i assume this is the first time you have use paypal, if yes then they will hold the funds untill they know you have posted the item and it has been recieved, its just a safety thing with all the scams going on. as soon as he has recieved the item and leaves you feedback then the funds will be released to you, if he dosnt bother leaving feedback and he dosnt open a complaint then after 21 days the funds will automaticaly be released to you then. it a new security thing they have recently started, you are ok to post the item. it should only happen the once, all other transactions after this one should be instant.

when you are listing an item it does say somewhere in the small print that funds MAY be put on hold untill possitive feedback is recieved or 21 days have passed, it dosnt happen to everyone just the ones they randomly choose.

  5. I havent ever seen this. Contact paypal about it, Never post items unless the payment is clear.
