Milk

Your snowy contents

Warmed my mind

Brought creature comforts

Appeasing my demons

If just for a moment

Headaches and heartbreak

Unattainable goals

Your sweetness drew me near

I drank you in

I forgot my sorrows

If only for a minute

Yet as time shaved

So did our connection

And something changed

Your crumpled carton

Dripped condensation

Sour breath discharging

Your contents spoiled

and our time expired

  4. Fantastic!! This is a great poem. You do a great job of really digging deeper and putting an unusual perspective on a topic most people wouldn't think to write poetry about. Very original and creative, and you have a lot of skill with the English language. Your poem also has a great rise and fall to it, with that plot twist at the end. ;) Plus, most people (save for this world's oddballs that don't like milk) can identify with it.

  5. "Hi!"

    Another great poem.

    WELL DONE!  : )

  6. That's good...  But, I notice that most of your poems seem to be about relationships.
