A possible mbr virus?

Question

I think i may have some kind of boot sector virus, i formated the disks and reinstalled windows but it still freezes every now and then. The computer is a pretty new dell latitude, i have xp installed currently.

Do you know of anyway to get rid of a mbr virus?

Will antiviruses like nod32, norton etc be able to get rid of it?

any help appreciated :(

use avast home edition ,,then do boot time scan

MBR is very  nasty virus...
