A question about LSD drugs?

You know I've seen many kinds of LSD drugs. for example LSD-25, LSD-24, LSD-23 and etc. I've seen the same thing about ALD too. How are they different?

LSD-25 is lysergic acid diethylamide, a specific compound.  Any other compound is a different molecule and is not LSD.

Hoffman said the "25" meant that LSD was the 25th lysergic acid derivative he had prepared.

ALD is N-acetyl LSD, a different (but still psychoactive) compound.

They are very rare analogs of LSD. Very few have ever consumed them so getting an answer to your question is unlikely.

The only possible explanation is that the numbers refer to the dose of LSD on the blotter/pill/shape etc. However, the typical dose of LSD ranges between 50 - 150 ug (micrograms) on a blotter, though since the stuff's illegal, you NEVER know the exact dose, or even if it's really LSD. Nonetheless, the numbers might be short-hand for 230 ug; 240 ug etc., despite the fact that 10 ug is not going to make much difference to the user.

Those are different formulas, or chemical compounds...each has a slightly different composition from the others.
