A question about buzz cuts?

when ur gettin a buzz cut they ask u if u want number one or number two wat ones shorter

The lower the number the shorter it'll cut your hair.

a number 1 is shorter i buzz my hair all the time you can also just go down to the blade with no clip on attachments its a little bit shorter but tell them you don't want to be bald good luck

Couldn't you just ask them? Hairstylists should know, but i think Number 1 is shorter.
